who is Jquaker?

I’m sure everyone wants to know who I am…well if you are viewing this page you do. I’m Jared Warner and I am a pastor or minister recorded in the Evangelical Friends Church Mid America Yearly Meeting. To give a short introduction to the EFC-MA, it is a group of evangelical minded Friends in the Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and Colorado. We are also a part of the larger group called Evangelical Friends International, which as the name implies is an international group of Evangelical Friends. For many outside of the Friends or Quaker traditions you may ask what a recorded minister is: the short answer is that I have demistrated gifts of ministry that our Yearly Meeting has recorded in their minutes. To translate this into other terms I am an ordained pastor, but as Friends we believe that God ordaines and mankind can only record what God has already done. More about myself: I have a degree in crop science from Fort Hays State University, and a masters degree in Christian ministry from Friends University. Both of these universities are in Kansas. I lived most of my life in Kansas on a farm in the north central area, some may say the north west. I currently live and minister in the Kansas City, MO area and am a pastor in a programed Friends Meeting called Willow Creek Friends Church.

About

Our Family has served as ministers at Willow Creek Friends Church in Kansas City Missouri, since 2010. During that time I, Jared Warner, have had to work several jobs but I cannot see myself doing anything else.

My wife and I were married in 2003, and we met at the church we now serve. We have two sons. Our oldest served in the United States Air Force and when he finished his term of service, he and his wife moved to South Dakota. Our youngest son is in the 6th grade, and is a goalie for his local house Hockey team. (Albert-in-Goal.com)

To help pay for hockey and to continue to serve in our church we thought we should put our hobbies to use. My wife has a degree in ceramic arts, and always has a craft she is working on. Many of these have turned into items that our friends have wanted to purchase. She has designed anything from t-shirt to Tea Services. And is trying her hand at quilting now. You should ask about her Stadium Quilt.

In 2024 we purchased a 3D printer because our son wanted to try designing his own chess pieces over the summer. We spent most of the summer at the library learning how to 3D print. When the summer was over, we decided we just had to have our own. Everything we gave as gifts since we have 3D printed.. And some of our friends have had us make some custom items for them as well.
