Knitting Bowl

Growing up i used to love curling up in a knitted or crocheted blanket. It was as if I was getting a hug from my grandmother or my mom. Unfortunately I do not have one of those blankets now that I am an adult, and with the winter temperatures being how they have been I could really use one.

As I have been looking at various designs within the 3D printing community, I have found several different things that have drawn me in. I always liked my grandma’s blankets, and several of my friends, and relatives have also engaged with this hobby. When I came across a knitting bowl in my print file scrolling, I hit download before I even thought twice.

I have printed this a few times as a gift. I have played with little changes like changing the filament in the center just for fun. And to be honest it is fun.

But the most fun I had with this knitting bowl was when I printed it for a friend to celebrate the opening of her new yarn store, Lucky Rooster Yarns

This store offers everything you need dealing with yarn. She also offers crochet and knitting classes for those that wanting to get into this artistic hobby and trade. And if you simply want to hang out with other fiber and textile artists you can attend her “Sip and Stitch” events. (check it out on Facebook).

If you are in the area, check out Lucky Rooster Yarns. If you are interested in a knitting bowl you just might find one of these there, or you can contact me.

Thank you, Jared! It sounds like someone needs to make you a blanket! What’s your favorite color?

For it to be a true grandma blanket it would need to be random 😁
