I have not been too active in posting because I was busy with hockey tournaments, fulfilling a few orders, and trying to figure out what to print for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day gifts for our church. Needless to say we have not had a lot of free time.
Since we have done a great deal of driving and have a lot of equipment to haul around, we decided it was time for a different vehicle. We got a Ford Maverick. I have not owned a pickup before, which is odd since I grew up on a farm. I spent a lot of time over the holiday weekend looking at what print options were available to maximize my user experience.
I want to give a huge shout out to @grizzie17 on Printables for making a Trailer Hitch Receiver Cover available. This model allows you to print a cover for your hitch receiver so all the people walking in the parking lot do not hit their shins on your hitch. (Seriously people it can be removed quickly for a reason.)
The model is such that you can add whatever you want to customize it.

Here are a few ideas I was working with.
I finally settled in making a cover with the leaf logo of our church.

I printed this with Black Ploymaker HT-PLA for the main body, and CookieCad Elixir (witches blue) for the logo. This is not the typical type of filament that should be used for this situation because PLA is not the best for the elements, but I want to see if the HT, High Temperature, will handle it.
It turned out great. Let me know if your truck is in need of one!
